You are invited to an interactive discussion about Climate Health and Health Equity with one of UC’s preeminent educators. Carlos Gould is an Assistant Professor at the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health at the University of California, San Diego. Carlos is an environmental health scientist who studies why some groups are more exposed to hazards like air pollution and how to lower these risks. Some of his work focuses on cleaner cooking fuels, showing how switching from biomass (like wood) to cleaner options (like gas or electricity) can reduce pollution, improve health, and cut greenhouse gases. He's also studied the impacts of environmental exposures on human health, with the aim of improving public health and facilitating adaptation to climate change.

Carlos will be in conversation with Edie Lush, UCLA graduate, journalist and MC / host.

To facilitate the conversation, you are encouraged to submit questions for Professor Gould during registration.
