About Winery: Third-generation owner and Winemaker, Kirk Venge gravitated to winemaking at an early age and is now making wines in his own style with his vision for Venge wines, and his legacy in Napa Valley. It was in 1999 that Kirk took over winemaking from his Father, Nils Venge, at Venge Vineyards. In time, his style would develop into a fuller, riper style of winemaking that would grow his reputation as an up-and-coming winemaker worth watching. Venge’s dedication to quality shines through their wines, boasting a staggering portfolio of excellent wines, with 17 wines rated at 98-99 by various wine critics.

Aggie Connection: Kirk Venge grew up in Napa Valley, by age four, he was working the land, cultivating a connection to farming that would shape his future. After earning his degree in Viticulture and Enology from UC Davis in 1998, Kirk blended his practical upbringing with scientific training to refine his craft. Today he leads Venge Vineyards and Croix Estate while also consulting for more than two dozen wineries through his KV Wines portfolio.
