About Winery: In the 1980s, ROCO Winery’s founders Rollin Soles and Corby Stonebraker-Soles joined a budding Oregon wine movement to make exceptional wines in a promising but unproven region. Their work established the Willamette Valley as a premier region for producing world-renowned Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Méthode Champenoise sparkling wines. Now over three decades into this craft, Rollin's experience with Oregon sparkling wine showcases the excellence made possible by hard-won experience and relentlessly big ideas. Founded in 2003, ROCO is firmly rooted in the science of fermentation, embodying a philosophy that allows the unique fruit and terroir of each vintage to shine.

Aggie Connection: Educated as a microbiologist, Rollin Soles’ winemaking combines the friendly grit of a Texas-born work ethic with the uncompromising rationality of a true scientist. Rollin graduated in 1980 with a Master of Science, Viticulture & Enology from UC Davis. Firmly rooted in the science of agriculture and fermentation, he carefully built a vision for what every bottle can be by relying on his mastery of the techniques and methods of winemaking he learned at UC Davis.
