Join the UC Alumni UK Sustainability Committee for an interactive conversation about the Center of Watershed Sciences and its work with UC Professor Josué Medellín-Azuara.
The Center for Watershed Sciences is dedicated to the interdisciplinary study of critical water challenges, particularly in California, focusing on environmentally and economically sustainable solutions for managing rivers, lakes and estuaries.
Professor Josué Medellín-Azuara is an Associate Professor of Environmental Engineering at UC Merced. His research crosses numerous fields connecting agriculture and water to the stakeholders involved. His speciality is modelling water use and economics in agriculture, having written his Ph.D. dissertation on managing water in the Colorado River. Professor Medellín-Azuara is an Associate Director of the Center for Watershed Sciences at UC Davis, and an Associate Professor of the Water Systems Management Lab at UC Merced.
Space will be limited to 20 participants. Registration price is £5; all proceeds will support sustainability initiatives at your UC campus.
