Hello, my name is Becky Heard, and I am the Director of Parent and Family Programs at UC Davis. I work closely with numerous campus departments, and collectively, our goal is to provide parents with the tools and information to help them to guide their student's success at UC Davis.
I hope to be an ongoing resource for you and to help you stay connected by providing opportunities for you to engage with campus. Aggie Parent and Family Association
The Aggie Parent & Family Association is a branch of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association and is designed to foster a community of UC Davis parents and families. The association provides parents with support, ideas and networking opportunities as their families enter this this new stage of their lives. Numerous benefits are available to association members and the nominal membership fee quickly pays for itself.
Aggie Parent Association members are eligible to join the Parent Ambassador Program which provides UC Davis parents with campus volunteer opportunities. More information will be available soon.
Aggie Pride Parents
Offering support to parents of current UC Davis Student-Athletes, Aggie Pride Parents is a support group offering communication, participation and relationship building via parent-to-parent interaction. Visit www.ucdavisaggies.com for more information.
Aggie Welcome Events for Incoming Students and Families
Each year in late August and early September, UC Davis Parent and Family Programs hosts receptions in various communities throughout the state (as well as a virtual welcome event for nonresident students and parents). The events are intended as a way for parents and students to meet other Aggies from their communities. Alumni and staff are on hand to extend a warm welcome to campus and to answer any last minute questions. Dates, city locations and details are available at the link above.

In the Know is a monthly e-newsletter that helps parents survive and thrive through their student's university experience. Get up to date information about parent activities, events and resources. The university provides this service free to the families of UC Davis undergraduates. Parents will automatically receive the monthly newsletter when their students register at UC Davis. Student Health and Wellness Center
The UC Davis Student Health & Wellness Center utilizes the newest technology and the latest trends in student healthcare to enhance student visits and delivery of care.

The Safe Party Initiative is a collaborative effort between the City of Davis and UC Davis, and is endorsed by the Davis Campus Community Alcohol Coalition. This initiative is supported by the Prevention Research Center, with funding from the National Institutes for Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. A resource for students, safeparty.ucdavis.edu, offers information for both party-throwers and party-goers about safe practices at fun events.
The UC Davis Chancellor's Club
Donors of $1,000 or more each year become members of the UC Davis Chancellor's Club and enjoy a special relationship with campus leaders and invitations to special events.
The UC Davis Parents Fund
The Parents Fund recognizes and honors parent giving to UC Davis. Gifts to the Parents Fund provide unrestricted support for the university overall, as part of the UC Davis Annual Fund. Parents Fund gifts help to broaden the opportunities available to all students — supporting all aspects of undergraduate education and experience.
UC Davis Parent and Family Council
The Parent and Family Council is a network of individuals committed to improving the quality of the university experience for UC Davis families. Council members work with UC Davis administration and staff to advance the mission of the UC Davis while also providing parents with resources and services.
